Aelipsis is a Chrome extension for comparing information already present in your working environment. Select the context you need, run one comparison, and inspect only the material differences or conflicts.
It is designed for source combinations that are awkward everywhere else: a current tab plus a contract PDF, two versions of a document, or a saved agreement checked against a new note.

What can Aelipsis compare?
Selected browser tabs, text-based PDFs, and pasted notes. A new comparison can include two to six sources; a saved context can later be checked against new information.
Does it monitor my tabs or downloads?
No. While the side panel is open, the source picker lists eligible tabs. Page content is read only after you select sources and invoke a comparison. Downloads and tabs are not monitored in the background.
Where are saved contexts stored?
In your local Chrome profile, only after you choose to remember one. They remain there until you forget them, clear extension storage, or uninstall the extension.
What leaves my device?
Basic analysis stays on-device. If you choose Hosted AI, selected text, source names and web addresses where present, provenance metadata, and your optional focus are sent over HTTPS to Aelipsis and its configured model provider. The extension shows this disclosure before the transfer.
Can it read scanned PDFs?
Not yet. Aelipsis extracts text from text-based PDFs. Scanned documents require OCR before they can be compared.
When can I use Aelipsis?
